Women in Construction Workshop 3: Maintaining Your ROC License

The Arizona Registrar of Contractors (ROC) is offering a Maintaining Your ROC License session through its Women in Construction Workshop series to provide female licensed contractors with hands-on tips for maintaining their state licenses.
The third workshop in the Women in Construction series, Maintaining Your ROC License, is set for 10 a.m. to noon, Jan. 19, 2006, at the ROC’s main office, 800 W. Washington, in Phoenix. The third workshop will provide an overview of ROC workmanship standards, outline the complaint process and how to avoid complaints, and provide tips on job site inspections. Workshop participants also will have access to the ROC’s resources, including speakers, brochures, e-mail alerts, newsletters, a telephone hotline and website.
Through the Women in Construction workshops, the ROC encourages women to pursue and establish careers as licensed contractors in the construction industry. Interacting with successful role models who already work in the construction industry will have a tremendous impact on women who think they may want to enter the profession.
The ROC’s three-part Women in Construction workshop series to provide resources to current and aspiring female contractors and address the unique issues facing women in construction. The ROC has partnered with the National Association of Women in Construction Greater Phoenix and Phoenix East chapters and the National Association of Women Business Owners Phoenix chapter to develop and host the free workshop series
